CGI programmingMy first programming class was in 1971. I've owned a computer since 1979. I've been writing small programs to manipulate text for more than ten years. As it turns out, Perl is very good at manipulating text, and the small programs we often need in CGI programming are vrey much like the programs I've been writing for years. JRVA Script: I've collected the most commonly required functions into a set of global routines. Most CGI programming becomes defining variables and calling routines. Pre-processing: I have considerable experience writing routines that read existing html file to modify them. Conferencing: JRThreads is my asynchronous, threaded discussion software. DreamLink: I did the CGI programming for a website that let's people post dreams for interpretation. |
