Welcome to my WebsiteWhat's this website for? You can find out a little about me. Maybe a lot about me. There are also some funny jokes and interesting ideas. The website is also an example of the output of my website engine. The engine takes very plain html content files, and generates multiple versions of the entire website by merging the original content files with templates. Why would you care? Rule Number One: "Render all documents." Brook no debate. If you modify information in a document, you don't want to risk screwing up the headers and footers and links and all the other information in a web document that has to do with the website structure. It's hard enough to get a website right the first time. When you start making changes, it's easy to break things. Once you render every document, why not render it more than once? Create a plain html version, a stylesheet version, a version that uses invisible graphics to indent paragraphs and add a little more space between lines. Maybe you'd want a frames version, just to show potential employers that you can do frames (without further comment on the desirability of frames...). About MELove languages, travel. Think I can build tools that help people. Write poetry. Plan to write novels. Have you noticed it's all going to be digital? Everything. Hopes, dreams, conflicts, information. There's something spiritual in that, don't you think? There's more. |
